Duplicating a Technology Intelligence Platform Report

If you have already been upgraded to Technology Intelligence Platform, information in this section is applicable to you. With Technology Intelligence Platform, out-of-the-box IT Visibility dashboards are being replaced with new, enhanced IT Visibility Technology Intelligence Platform reports.

You can duplicate a Technology Intelligence Platform report by saving it as a new report.

Duplicating a report is an easy way to begin creating a custom report. For more information about custom reports, see Working With Custom Reports.

To duplicate a Technology Intelligence Platform report:

  1. Go to one of the following menus:
    • Dashboards > Technology Intelligence Reports > report type
    • IT Visibility > Technology Intelligence Reports > report type
    • where report type is one of the following: Hardware , Software , Governance & Risk , Procurement , Security , Custom Reports , and All TI Reports . The Dashboards page opens, displaying the reports grouped by type under their respective tabs.

    • If an organization has the Cloud License Management (CLM) capability, the Spend & Cost report type also appears when the reports are accessed from the Dashboards menu.

  2. Click the Go to report link next to the report you want to duplicate.
    • The selected report opens.
  3. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Duplicate . A copy of the selected report is created.
  4. Edit the report details as required.
  5. Click the Save this report button in the upper-right corner of the report. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.
  6. To rename the report:
  7. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Settings . The Manage <Report Name> slideout opens.
  8. In the Name field, enter the new name for the report.
  9. In the Description field, enter the updated description for the report.
  10. Click Save .

To view the duplicated report, in the upper-left corner of the page, click the Custom Reports link in the breadcrumb. The Dashboards page opens, listing the cloned report under the Custom Reports tab.
