Performing an Ad Hoc Search of SBOM Parts

You can create a ad hoc search for SBOM parts without saving it for future use.

To define and perform an ad hoc search for SBOM parts:

1. Access the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout, using the instructions in Getting Started with an SBOM Parts Search.
2. From the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout, define the criteria for your search (without selecting a search from the Searches dropdown list).
   • See Criteria Fields for an SBOM Parts Search for a description of each field.

   • You can always click Clear Form to remove existing criteria and enter all new values.

3. Click Search to perform the search.
   • The Manage SBOM Parts page is automatically refreshed to show the search results based on the specified criteria.
4. Continue with step 3 in the previous “Viewing SBOM Parts” topic to explore details about the SBOM parts now in view on the Manage SBOM Parts page.
